Department History
The Department of Psychology at Karshi State University was established in 1994 and has been training broad-profile psychologists for many years. Starting from this year, the Department of Psychology has also been functioning as a graduating (specialist-producing) department. Up to now, the department has been headed by: Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor G.Kh. Mazitova; Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor N. Boymurodov; Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor A.M. Jabborov; Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Professor Kh. Karimov; Doctor of Psychological Sciences (DSc), Professor M.Kh. Fayzieva; Doctor of Psychological Sciences (DSc), Associate Professor Z.Kh. Fayziev. At present, the department is headed by Doctor of Psychological Sciences (DSc), Professor B. Jurayev.

The Department of Psychology is carrying out large-scale activities in cooperation with a number of developed countries, including Turkey (Necmettin Erbakan University, Akdeniz University) and Russia (Kazan Federal University Institute of Psychology, Baltic Humanitarian Institute).
